This LinkedIn article accompanies our 2017 PIUG talk, and is intended for IP professionals such as IP attorneys and searchers. It shows how Deep Learning AI's word graph can help conduct much more precise searches than heuristic 'in-the-wild' keyword searches in the past.

At Patent Information Users Group (PIUG) Annual Conference 2017, we extended the "similar" word models from PIUG 2016 to "similar" document models built with Deep Learning. These models enable better semantic search and classification of documents. We presented case studies with numerical comparisons of AI-based document search and classification to existing tech. For both search and classification, Deep Learning beats existing commercial tools.
